How these buttons work. Text Now opens the OS's default SMS app (Messages on Mac/iPhone, Google Messages on Android). Email Now opens the default mail client with the message pre-filled. You still tap Send. To dispatch without any manual step, ChiroVision needs a Twilio + Resend backend — separate build, not shipped yet.

Sending to non-iMessage numbers on Mac requires Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone (Settings → Messages → Text Message Forwarding → toggle your Mac ON). This routes SMS from Mac through your iPhone's carrier so texts reach Android and any real phone.

Windows users with iPhones can't use Text Now natively — the Twilio backend build is the path there.

Bottom line. These buttons open the OS's app — they never send by themselves. Real hands-off automation ("3-day-before" / "morning-of" reminders that fire while your tab is closed) needs the planned Twilio + Resend backend. Cost estimate: ~$8/month at chiro-office scale.
